Partnerships

Open Culture Journal considers collaborations that help readers explore cultural subjects without compromising editorial independence. Proposals should explain the partner, the purpose, the intended audience and any requested placement or support.

Possible collaborations

We consider clearly scoped educational projects, event or publication collaborations, and relevant partner placements. A proposal should name the subject, format, timing and what each party would contribute. We do not imply endorsement simply because a partner is mentioned.

Partner placements

A standing partner placement may be considered where it is relevant to the publication and clearly identified as a partner link or placement. Such visibility is separate from editorial judgment and does not guarantee an article, recommendation or favourable review.

Clear labels, independent decisions

Paid, supported or partner-produced material is labelled so readers can recognise its relationship to a collaborator. Editorial articles remain under editorial control. We may decline proposals that blur that distinction or ask us to present promotion as independent coverage.

Make contact

Send partnership proposals through the Contact page with the partnership option selected. A useful first message describes the idea plainly and makes any commercial or other interests clear.
